Sierra Leone: The Role of the Rapid Results Approach in Decentralization and Strengthening Local Governance

Description: This report discusses the role of RE!NSTITUTE’s (formerly Rapid Results Institute) approach in the governance transformation process in Sierra Leone around fiscal decentralization and strengthening of the local government. The approach was an important driver of performance, accountability and results. From September 2004 to January 2005, initiatives were successfully launched for water, sanitation, feeder roads, traffic, rice production and mitigating post-harvest loss
