Post-flood reconstruction efforts through design, strategy, implementation, and monitoring.

Rebuilding Public Infrastructure

In August and September of 2007, Ghana experienced heavy rains and some parts of the northern regions were impacted by flash flooding. The World Bank focused on rebuilding public infrastructure through the NFRP (Northern Floods Reconstruction Program) and sought to increase the capacity of relevant stakeholders. This study shares the main features of the program including design, strategy, implementation, and monitoring. The methodology used at RE!NSTITUTE (formerly RRI) helped in the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure within 100 days.
