Mary Houghton

Mary Houghton was a co-founder of ShoreBank Corporation, a community development-focused commercial bank holding company that operated in Chicago, several other U.S. locations and internationally from 1973-2010 and was an early pioneer of banks with social and environmental investment strategies. She is currently a director of Vancity Community Investment Bank, a subsidiary of Vancity Credit Union in Vancouver, Canada and Craft3, Northern Initiatives and Equator Capital Partners. She is active in RE!NSTITUTE to bring her experience in building sustainable non-profit organizations and to learn community-based change methodology. She is a lifelong Midwesterner.
